First job (that's right, I'm a concept artist)

Holy shit people, I just landed my first job at an indie game company as a concept artist. This sorta shit almost never happens to undergrad illustrators, even freshly graduated ones. Jobs like these are highly elusive, and yet somehow I still I got this thing...in this economy. For once I think I am speechless. Just goes to show with a bit of luck and a TON of hard work, good things can happen.

I'm currently an illustration student out at the Academy of Art, in SF. My styles range from overly nit picky hyper detailed pen work, to more freeformed / wildstyle photoshop work ups. Most my work at this point will be kept in the scrapbook, as I'm rather picky with what ends up in the actual portfolio section. (The image above apparently NEEDED to be in the portfolio section...but whatever, rest assured, my finished pieces are far more polised than this).

By the way, feel free to contact me to learn anything about life at the academy as there are far too many extreme reviews pointing to one direction or another on the internet. I can give a far more realistic account of on campus life out here.
